About 7.3.1 SP 1
A few TopView 7.0-7.3 customers have experienced instability issues with TopView and the softphones created for Voice Notification (outgoing call) and Voice Dial-in (incoming call).
Symptoms may include:
- Application log messages:
- Frequent softphone unstable messages and recreation of the softphone
- Softphone usage (outgoing or incoming) fails to progress through a call (Engine may fail to empty the outgoing voice notification queue)
- Engine disconnection from the softphone process
- TopView Engine process memory may increase
TopView 7.3.1 SP1 addresses this softphone instability issue through the implementation of a new communication protocol between TopView and the softphone processes.
Installing 7.3.1 SP1
TopView 7.3.1 users:
- Return to the TopView 7.3.1 download page. The link to the download page is located in the email containing your 7.3 license.
- Download the 7.3.1 SP1 installation
- Close all TopView applications including the TopView Information Icon in the system tray
- Install 7.3.1 SP1
- Restart any TopView applications and Engine Services. You do not need to upgrade configurations or Engine Services.
