When sending alarm
notification, you may want to tailor the notification
message to the receiving device.
For example, if the
notification recipient is receiving a text message from
TopView, you should keep the message short. Yet for
email clients, you may want to send a detailed
notification message which includes the alarm message
along with details of the monitored point, alarm limits,
time of alarm, etc.
TopView's Notification
Message Templates allow the user to define detailed
notification message content that can be assigned to
individual TopView alarms. The templates can define
which notification recipients will receive the message
template vs. the shorter alarm message.
The Message Templates are
created within a message template editor that provides
example templates and assistance for creating dynamic
message content.
Each Notification Message
Template can be created once and used across all TopView
configurations and alarms, providing a single repository
for notification message definition. |
