Escalation and
Advanced Notification Templates

TopView now contains a simplified framework for the
sending of additional notification at or after the time
of the alarm.
Escalation
Templates allow the user to define additional
notification behavior that can be assigned to existing
alarms.
Each template consists of one to ten steps. Each step
evaluates a condition of the most recent alarm at a
specified time at or after the alarm start time. If the
condition is true, the recipients for the step
are notified.
Conditions include all
possible combination of alarm state (in alarm or not) as
well as acknowledge state (acknowledged or
unacknowledged). |
TopView Status
tags

Performance information is
now available within each TopView configuration through
TopView status tags.
Status tags can be
added to the monitored tag list of any TopView
configuration and can be used like any other tag: the user can set
alarm conditions, notifications, etc.
Status tags allow the
user to alarm and notify on information about the
current TopView Windows Alarm Engine, such as error
counts, total alarm count, and queue sizes. Status tags
do not count against the TopView point count license
limit. |
Custom Field
enhancements
 |
Custom fields provide a
mechanism for the user to provide custom information
and/or external links for each monitored TopView point
and alarm. The custom fields can be accessed through the
running TopView Window as well as the Remote Viewer
(TopView client). Common uses include links to external
documents, web sites, and applications.
Enhancements include:
- A third custom
field has been added
- New custom field
placeholders allows the insertion of dynamic
information (tag name, alarm start time) within each
custom field
- New <arg> element
supports passing command-line arguments to linked
applications

features include:

operations for retrieved tag values - delta and delta %
allow the user to alarm on tag difference from setpoint
