1. Verify that you have the correct
version of the Microsoft .Net Framework installed
Starting with the Remote Viewer 6.8.13
download, we include a program that will verify the .Net Framework
version required. This check program is included with the Remote
Viewer download below.
The required Microsoft .Net Framework
version is based on the version of TopView and the Remote Viewer:
2. Download the Remote Viewer
application
Once you have the .Net Framework
installed, you can
download and run
the Remote Viewer application.
There is no installation for the Remote Viewer. To launch the
application, run RemoteViewer.exe
You may want to create a new directory for this
application. Ensure that the users of the Remote Viewer
have write access to the directory of the Remote Viewer executable.
Download the version of the Remote Viewer
that is the same version as TopView. If the same version does not exist
below,
download the version which is closest to, but before, your version
of TopView.
If you have
problems viewing the help file (.chm), right-click the downloaded
help file,
choose Properties and
click [Unblock]
For instructions on
using the Remote Viewer, see the included documentation (PDF) or
help file.
Why do I get a
security error when I run the Remote Viewer?
Your company may have a default .Net Security policy which
prevents .Net assemblies from running properly unless given
permission to do so. You can adjust the .Net security for the Remote
Viewer. Follow the steps in the documentation to change the
permission of the Remote Viewer executable.
